Katherine Wing BA(Hons) FCCA

Owner

Having worked in public practice since 2011, Katherine has a wealth of knowledge to assist small, owner-managed businesses.

Katherine graduated with a degree in Accounting and Financial Management in 2014 and gained her ACCA qualification in 2018. KJW Accountancy Services was established in 2022.

While specialising in advising micro/small businesses throughout their business lifecycle, Katherine can advise on remuneration planning and aiding with implementing internal processes, as well as looking to minimise tax implications. She can also assist with start-ups/business acquisitions as well as business closures/sales.
 
Katherine spends her spare time rambling in the countryside with her two spaniels, playing netball, listening to Taylor Swift and sewing. Katherine also volunteers as treasurer for her village hall.

Liz Ball Bsc ACA

Accountant

Liz graduated from the University of Wales, Swansea with a Bsc in Business Studies and then qualified as a Chartered Accountant with a medium sized local firm of accountants in 2000.

Since then, Liz has worked for a global company in a number of roles as well as working in public practice for two local firms. Having previously worked with Katherine and Liz Buckel, Liz enjoys helping clients with their accounting and tax compliance requirements.

Liz lives in Cheltenham with her husband and two daughters and when not juggling spreadsheets and logistics for the girls, she enjoys watching Strictly, dancing and attempting to learn Spanish.

Liz Buckel MAAT

Accounts Assistant

Having developed a working relationship with Katherine over a number of years, Liz works alongside Katherine to ensure clients meet all compliance deadlines for statutory accounts and tax returns.

Liz is an MAAT qualified accounting technician and she is currently working towards her ACCA qualification. Having commenced working in practice in 2018, Liz can assist businesses with integrating accounting software into their financial record keeping.

Liz is currently based in the USA with plans to return to the UK in the next couple of years. When she is not studying, Liz enjoys travelling with her family and baking with her two daughters.

Alex Collins

Bookkeeper & Payroll Support

Alex joined KJW from a large independent accountancy practice where she briefly worked within the farms & estates team drafting end of year accounts, before specialising in payroll. Alex also supports her husbands and friends farming businesses with their bookkeeping requirements.

She has previously lived abroad for 10 years in the Middle East, where she enjoyed doing charity work and travelling. She also completed a degree in equine science before turning her hand to bookkeeping and payroll. Alex has completed her level 2 AAT and is currently studying towards her level 3.

In her spare time, she assists her husband with their dairy farm, horse riding and taking their dogs on long walks in the forest. Alex’s knowledge of equine and farming will greatly assist a lot of our small business clients.
